Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

• Ambassador Volunteer Training – Thursday, September 29th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. - WRC Ambassador Volunteers are a group of people passionate about providing women access to the health care services they need. Through WRC, Ambassadors will help the most vulnerable women in our community to live longer and healthier lives. They go out into the community, to churches, businesses, and community groups that they are already involved with and share the message of the Women’s Resource Center – that money shouldn’t be a barrier to a woman’s health. They are an extension of our staff, opening doors and sharing the story of the Women’s Resource Center with the community. Learn how you can impact our community by becoming an Ambassador Volunteer at a special training, Thursday, September 29th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at WRC. Please sign up in advance by clicking HERE.

• Mammogram Van – Thursday, September 29th, 7:30-3:00 – Help us at our mammogram van to greet clients and assist them as they fill out paperwork. The van will be in the Walmart parking lot off of Highway 34 and Denver Avenue in Loveland. On site training provided and staff will be present throughout the day. October 2011:

• Flockers – Be in charge of a flock of 20 pink flamingos moving them from house to house each night for three nights (in a row) during our Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser October 2nd through 23rd in Fort Collins, Loveland and Windsor. Dates available for sign ups are: October 1-3, October 4-6, October 7-9, October 10-12, October 13-15, October 16-18, October 19-21, and October 22-24. Volunteers for this event are required to have a valid driver’s license. This is perfect for small groups and teams! Sign up by clicking here! • Outreach Volunteer Training – Tuesday, October 11th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. – Want to be an Outreach/Education Volunteer? Come to this special training to learn how to represent our organization at health and community fairs and how to conduct a workshop on women’s health. Training will be on Tuesday, October 11th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at WRC. Please sign up in advance by clicking here.

• CARE Housing Resident Health Fair – Saturday, October 15th, 9:00-12:00 – Join us at CARE Housing to represent WRC at a booth and provide information and resources to local women.
