NEWS ABOUT LARIMER COUNTY AND BREAST CANCER
A rather alarming statistic, but perhaps not cause for alarm. We are not even ranked in the top 10 counties in breast cancer mortality. It means that organizations like the Women’s Resource Center are reaching out to women, providing women's health education, and ensuring that women are getting recommended mammogramss. Our staff and volunteers are visible at community events and health fairs, increasing breast health awareness and stressing the importance of early detection and treatment. Our work with the Larimer County Women’s Health Consortium and area providers helps FIND and TREAT breast cancer in its initial, more treatable stages. It means that early detection and treatment of breast cancer saves lives.
The Women’s Resource Center can answer your questions about when you should get a mammogram, how often you should get a mammogram, when or if you should stop getting mammograms, how much do they cost and where to get a mammogram.
