The SpeakOut! Youth Council is made up of high school youth in Loveland and Fort Collins. Members of this council will be working on a peer education and am outreach program consisting of three components:

Family Involvement

Being a member of this council is a very important job. It requires dedication, passion and creativity. As such, it is essential that you attend our informational meeting and the subsequent trainings that will focus on healthy sexuality, community outreach, leadership and group facilitation. After the training is complete, members will attend regular meeting once per month. You will have a lot of say in what we do inside this program-that is why your dedication and creativity are so necessary!

We are looking for very motivated and fun students who love their community, want to volunteer and who respect their peers. To be a member of this council, you will have to commit to the following things:

  • Attend an informational and planning meeting.
  • Attend one regular meeting per month during the school year
  • Help plan, carry out and attend outreach and education events
  • Be creative and positive on different ways to improve our community view on sexuality and health
