FORT COLLINS - February 21, 2004 - The Women's Resource Center hosted Women Rock the Sunset, one of the organization's two fundraiser concerts for the year. The benefit concert was a celebration of women and music and featured award-winning singer/songwriter Wendy Woo and The Woo Band, local female blues band Mojogaea, and the a cappella sounds of long-time local favorites Our Mothers' Daughters. Event sponsors include The Bohemian Foundation, KUNC Radio and The Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado and all proceeds benefit WRC. In addition, at the event, WRC payed special tribute to long-time partner, the Health District's Well Woman Services and Health Van Staff, which was phased out in July 2004. |
